Troop 70 adults allow Scouts to lead as much as possible to build leadership skills.
Mistakes or problems noticed by any adults need to be brought to the
attention of the Senior Patrol Leader in private (not in front of the
troop or scouts) in order to allow the Senior Patrol Leader to make
corrections as needed.
Adults should try not to interrupt Troop meetings for corrections. The Senior Patrol Leader should run troop meetings.
Leadership Training
To encourage Youth leadership training, Troop 70 awards sponsorships of
up to $100.00 annually per scout for BSA sponsored youth leadership
training. Each scout and training opportunity must be recommended by
the Scoutmaster and approved by the Committee. |
